Future Day at UTOREM
The aim of the Future Day is to give young people an insight into everyday working life. We also took up the ball again and showed young people what and how work is done at UTOREM. This year, we had the pleasure of welcoming five young people on 10 November and discovered that the Future Day is a great enrichment not only for the young people, but also for our team.
After the welcome by Valentin Müller, who introduced the company UTO Real Estate Management, Leo Smeets gave an insight into transaction management and Oliver Schwartz into portfolio and asset management, before the young people completed a practical part: the girls and boys were able to furnish a flat according to their own taste using a plan template. They were busy fiddling, drawing and gluing. This was great fun for everyone and it was impressive to see how individually, imaginatively and cleverly the flats were arranged and furnished.
In the afternoon, a field trip to one of our construction sites was on the agenda. Christian Grewe-Rellmann, project developer at UTOREM, was able to show the children how a new building is constructed. The construction site of the “Sandblatte” in Rain (LU) was particularly suitable for this, as the row houses to be built are currently in various stages of construction and it was also possible to vividly address ecological aspects with the wooden buildings. The girls and boys also asked many interesting questions here and showed us that the young people think along with us and want to actively shape the future.
