New photovoltaic system in St. Gallen
At Zürcherstrasse 160-162 in St. Gallen, the first stage of a photovoltaic system with a system capacity of 78 kWp was put into operation in June 2023 after a roof refurbishment. The green flat roof was equipped with a module surface of 860 m2 and produces approx. 70,000 kWh of solar electricity per year, which would enable an electric car to drive around the world almost 12 times. The generated solar power saves about 5.6 tonnes of CO2 annually, making a meaningful contribution to sustainability.
As a second stage, PV modules are currently being installed on the remaining roof area of the property. After completion of the entire installation project, a system size of 249 kWp and an electricity production of approx. 236’000 kWh are expected, corresponding to an impressive total output.
UTOREM would like to thank Energie Zukunft Schweiz for the very good cooperation.
