The properties in the area enclosed by Utoquai, Kreuzstrasse and Färberstrasse have a rich historical background and form part of a family office portfolio.
The buildings, which date back to 1929, are protected by strict listed building regulations and contain apartments, offices, doctors’ surgeries, a branch of AMAG, a film studio and a hotel. UTOREM is currently planning to refurbish the commercial/office premises on the 2nd to 4th floors on Färberstrasse. A number of feasibility studies have been prepared together with Zurich-based architects ARC1706. The idea is to make the space, which is not very attractive in terms of room height and lighting, more appealing by creating two spacious and light-filled levels instead of the current three. Since the property is a listed building, the project has been planned in close cooperation with the historic buildings and monuments authority. A lake water district heating system is envisaged to provide sustainable heating for the property going forward. The new premises will boast an appealing commercial space in a prime location in the heart of the in-demand Seefeld district.
